Phil Hinson, our Southeastern Director for Americans For FairTaxiation, commented on an editoril in the New York Times. It seems very interesting to me how every where you turn everyone acknowledges the problems with our tax system. We have a serious issue in that the news media is quick to blame but never mind any solutions. Take a good look it not just our country’s problem, but its effects are felt world wide. Read the story from New York Times below, that is linked to Phil’s comment to all FairTax supporters. We need to make our move to get the attention of the news media and the people in this country. We have the answer in solving our taxation problem. The time is to not just talk but we need to implement FairTax. Will you help do your part?
This is an interesting and timely article. I found it interesting that the author implied that the problem of tax cheating by hiding $$$ offshore is a widespread problem encountered by many governments and that there was therefore widespread interest within the community of nations in addressing the problem. What he failed to mention is that the US is one of only two countries in the world which claims the right to tax its citizens on their world-wide income. The other is one of the minor African nations. At least, that was the case a few years ago.
